This is a large salamanca decorated with traditional Inka patterns and featuring a puma in the handle. Made from fine clay and synthetic colors, it is the largest salamanca we have come across in the region being 65cm tall, having 37.5cm maximum diameter and weighing approximately 10 kilograms. The level of detail in the making, the exceptionally rich compilation of Inka patterns and the golden color that surrounds them giving them an extra shine, set this apart from the rest of pottery we have seen in the region.

This salamanca is mostly for decorative purposes. Due to its size it is unlikely to be used as an actual salamanca.
